Milk
Dairy industry in Ukraine is characterized by a negative trend. Over the past 15 years, the number of live cattle shows decline.

During 7 months of 2018, in Ukraine were produced about 6 million tons of milk, which is 2% less than in the same period last year. Production decline was observed in households, while production at agricultural enterprises showed growth. There is also an increase in the export of milk and dairy products, in terms of milk. As of July 2018, exports grew by 20.4% compared to the same period last year and amounted to about 0.52 million tons of milk and dairy products, the main export product is butter.

The level of profitability has begun to grow steadily since 2015. Thus, in two years the profitability has doubled (from 12.6% in 2015 to 26.9% in 2017).
At the same time, purchasing prices for milk from year to year also show growth. At the moment, prices are the highest over the past 5 years.
