UNAF turned to Copa-Сogeca regarding inclusion in the European agricultural community and support for Ukraine's accession to the EU
Public association "Ukrainian National Agrarian Forum" (UNAF) on behalf of members of the leading agrarian associations: Ukrainian Agrarian Business Club", CS "Agrarian Union of Ukraine", "Ukrainian Agrarian Rada", the Ukrainian Association of Communities, the Ukrainian Union of Foresters of Ukraine, The Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation appealed to the secretary general of the Copa-Cogeca Union Pesonen Pekka for inclusion into the European agrarian community and support for EU accession.

Within 10 months of 2020 the trade balance of agricultural products decreased by USD 1 billion

Ukraine became a net importer of dairy products
For 9 months of 2020 Ukraine has exported milk and dairy products to the amount of USD 128.6 million and imported to the amount of USD 218.2 million. In other words, in 2020 Ukraine became a net importer of milk and dairy products.

UCAB reduces forecast of gross corn production to 32 million tons
Due to unfavourable weather conditions in July-August in a number of regions of Ukraine, UCAB reduced the forecast of gross harvest of late crops.

In 10 years poultry export from Ukraine can reach about USD 1 billion
According to the forecast conducted by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development as well as the World Food Programme, the global meat production will increase by 12% within the next 10 years. The increase will mainly take place in developing countries such as Brazil, China, India, Mexico, Pakistan and Turkey.

Import of butter has increased 7.7 times since the beginning of the year
In January-June 2020, dairy products were imported to the amount of USD 137 million which is 2.6 times more than over the same period last year. The increase of supplies to Ukraine from abroad took place in all groups of dairy products. Supply of butter grew more than 7.7 times (+6.5 thousand tons) whereas milk and non-condensed cream grew 5 times (+5 thousand tons).

Forecasts of the world grain production have been reduced
According to July forecast of the US Department of Agriculture (USDA), expectations of the world grain production in 2020/21 MY decreased by 29.8 million tons to 2,730.3 million tons (including rice). In particular, it is foreseen to yeild 769.3 million tons of wheat and 1,163.2 million tons of corn in the world. Despite decline in the forecast, the world still expects a record grain harvest.

Profitability of grain production fell almost threefold in 2019
According to the State Statistics Service, in 2019 profitability of grain production decreased to 11.8%, whereas in previous years it constituted about 30%. This is the lowest index since 2014.
