Uzbekistan produced 6.8 mln tonnes of grains
In 2011 agrarians of Uzbekistan produced 6.8 mln tonnes of grains, declared the press-service of the Government of the country on July 23.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Industry of Uzbekistan, the high production volumes were received due to the proper organization of the sowing season, introduction of modern technologies in the agrarian sector, seed production development, timely realization of the required measures for fighting pests of crops.
It is reported that in several regions of Uzbekistan the average grain yield reached the level of 53-64 c/ha.
