UkrFerry to launch regular Kerch - Poti/Batumi railway-ferry transportations
The UkrFerry company, dealing with railway-ferry transportations by the Kerch - Poti/Batumi route, declared their transfer to a regular basis.
The company says launching traffic between Kerch and the Georgian ports made it possible to ease pressure on portside station Illichivsk Paromna, and attract cargoes from the Crimean and Donetsk regions. The distribution of cargo flows made it possible to optimize transit time.
Among the most promising projects oriented at the new route there is supply of Ukrainian grain for export to Georgia. With regard for opening the second route, the Georgian ports of Poti and Batumi hope to boost the intensity of railway-ferry transportations minimum 1.5 times.
