Ukrainian, Russian deputy premiers to discuss cooperation in agriculture
Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Viktor Slauta and First Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Zubkov on Apr. 6 will hold talks in Moscow to discuss the whole range of issues of cooperation between the two countries in agriculture, said a source in the Russian government.
The meeting will be held in line with an agreement reached on March 25 between Russian Premier Vladimir Putin and his Ukrainian counterpart Mykola Azarov.
Zubkov and Slauta will discuss mutual investments in agriculture, the prospects for cooperation in agricultural engineering and production of equipment for food processing industry, cooperation in the area of innovations in agriculture.
The upcoming talks will be held in the framework of the preparation for the sixth meeting of the bilateral committee on economic cooperation scheduled for April in Moscow at the level of heads of governments of Russia and Ukraine.
