Ukrainian Retail invests USD 15.76mn in chain Brusnytsya in 2009
The company Ukrainian Retail has invested UAH 126mn (EUR 10.59mn USD 15.76mn) in development of the retail chain Brusnytsya, said CEO of the company Aleksey Gessen. 30 new outlets were opened, and the first stage of a distribution centre was put in operation. The centre's turnover accounts for 30% of the chain's goods turnover. As of December, 1 2009 the chain Brusnytsya united 70 stores in the format 'neighbouring store' with total area 30,870 square metres in five regions of Ukraine: Donetsk, Kharkov, Dnepropetrovsk, Lugansk, and Zaporozhye. Sales of the chain exceeded UAH 500mn year-on-year. Over 25 stores Brusnytsya are planned to open in Q1 2010. The second stage of the distribution centre is to be launched as well. Rinat Akhmetov's group System Capital Management possesses the company Ukrainian Retail.
