Ukraine wants new agreement with Russia on free trade area, says Tymoshenko
Ukraine has called for a new agreement on a free trade area to be signed with Russia, Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has said.
She said at a press conference on Wednesday that this would be a key issue at a meeting of the inter-governmental Ukrainian-Russian committee for economic cooperation in Yalta, Crimea, on November 19.
"The key issue is how to build open and mutually beneficial trade relations between Ukraine and Russia. The subject of our discussion will be the possibility of signing a new agreement on a free trade area between Ukraine and Russia," Tymoshenko said.
