Ukraine to export 24 mln tonnes of grains in 2011/12 MY – Ministry of Agrarian Policy
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine will make all efforts to increase the rates of grain exports from the country in order to realize the plan for the current marketing year (July 2011 - June 2012) at the level of 24 mln tonnes, said Nikolai Prysiazhnyuk, Minister of Agrarian Policy, on September 8.
According to him, the export rates in July and August caused concern. In September, the export rates will grow up.
N.Prysiazhnyuk added that the export duties lobbied by the Ministry of Finance led not only to slowing of grain exports from Ukraine, but also to the fact that Russia is gradually conquering the traditional markets, where Ukrainian suppliers previously dominated.
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy will consistently defend the position on inadmissibility of the further restrictions on grain exports.
