Ukraine to export 24 mln tonnes of grains – N.Azarov
In the current year Ukraine can export 24 mln tonnes of grains, announced Nikolay Azarov, Prime Minister of Ukraine.
The Head of the Government noted that in the last round of negotiations with the EU, the officials agreed to increase quotas on grain exports to the EU from 20 thsd tonnes to almost 100 thsd tonnes within the agreement on Free Trade Area with the EU.
N.Azarov stressed that Ukraine will increase grain production, and in the current year expects for about 52 mln tonnes of the harvest: According to him, Ukraine has a huge export potential. And it will increase as reforms develop in the agricultural sector.
The Prime Minister expressed hope that the signing of the Agreement on the Free Trade Area before the end of 2011.
