Ukraine sees negative balance of trade in goods at USD 4.815bn in January-November
The import of goods to Ukraine exceeded exports by USD 4.815 billion in January-November 2009, the State Statistics Committee has reported.
The balance of trade in goods improved by USD 13.042 billion in the first eleven months of 2009 year-over-year, compared to a trade deficit of USD 17.857 billion in January-November 2008.
The export of goods fell by 43.4% in January-November 2009 year-over-year, to USD 35.603 billion.
The import of goods fell by 49.9% to USD 40.418 billion.
In 2008, the import of goods exceeded exports by USD 18.532 billion.
