Ukraine: Ministry of Economic Development proposes to impose the export duties on sunflower oil, range of grains and industrial crops

 The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine prepared the draft law "On rates of export duties on certain varieties of agricultural products and on making amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On making of amendments to the Tax Codex of Ukraine and adoption of tariffs of the export duties for several varieties of grains”.

In particular, the draft law proposes to impose export duties on some types of grains and industrial crops. It is proposed that the rate of export duties on rye, oats, buckwheat and millet form the level of 50% of their customs cost.

The draft law proposes to impose the export duties on soybeans at the level of 8% but not less than 30 EUR/t, rapeseed - 11% but not less than 53 EUR/t, sunflower oil - 10% but not less than 90 EUR/t.

The draft law plans to impose the duties until July 1, 2012.

As a reminder, the export duties on wheat, barley and maize come into force since July 1, 2011.
