Ukraine. Inspectors reject 20% of examined milk products
State Committee of Ukraine on Technical Regulation and Consumer Policy rejected over 20% of the examined sour milk products over nine months of 2010, the Committee's press service informed.
Over nine months of 2010, inspectors have examined 194 tons of cow milk, spreads and mixtures to the amount of UAH 2.776 million (USD 1/UAH 7.91). 39 tons (20%) of products to the amount of UAH 494.614 failed to comply with the norms.
In total, examinations were held at 139 enterprises, violations were revealed at 92.
The most spread violations are non-compliance with normative documents as regards physical-chemical, microbiological and organoleptic indexes and violation of the rules of marking the consumer and transport packaging.
