Ukraine extends cooperation with Belarus
This was discussed at yesterdays meeting of Mykola Azarov with the Prime Minister of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich, Mykola Azarov Official Website reports.
«Trade turnover between Ukraine and Belarus reached $ 7.5 billion and took the fourth place after the volume of trade turnover with the Russian Federation, China, Germany, — Head of Ukrainian Government said during his official visit to Minsk. — We would like to continue not only to maintain, but also to increase the volume of our cooperation and erase the problems that arise along this way because of imperfections or inconsistencies in our contractual legal framework».
Mikhail Myasnikovich, in turn, said that Belarus was interested in boosting agricultural cooperation, cooperation in energy sector, pharmaceutical, transport, scientific and technical spheres. «Now about 80 of our major enterprises complement each other and produce competitive products for domestic markets as well as for the markets of third countries — tractors and combine harvesters, and lift equipment. We are also grateful for Ukrainian production of sophisticated technical products with the use of leading welding techniques,» the Prime Minister of Belarus said.
