Ukraine distributes raw sugar quotas
Ukraine distributed quotas for raw sugar imports in 2009 to the amount of 263.9 thousand tons among 16 countries, the Economy Ministry informs.
73.5% (193,989 tons) of supplies falls on Brazil, 7.8% - on Cuba (4,109 tons), 4.2% - on Thailand (2,231 tons).
Raw sugar can be imported by Columbia, Salvador, Guatemala, Guyana, Latvia, Nicaragua, Peru, the South-African Republic, Switzerland, Thailand, the USA, Denmark, the Netherlands and Paraguay.
Sugar beet is processed by 48 plants in Ukraine, three enterprises completed a sugar production season.
