Ukraine decreased grain share in the general commodity exports to the level of 4.1%

During January-July of 2011, commodity exports from Ukraine totaled 38.2 bln USD, imports – 44.8 bln USD, which formed the growth of export indices by 40%, and imports – up 46.7% compared to the same period of 2010, respectively, according to data of the State Statistics Committee of Ukraine.

The share of grain products in the general volumes of commodity exports decreased from the level of 4.5% to 4.1% compared to the reporting period of 2010. At the same time, the share of fats and oils of both animal and vegetable origin grew from the level of 5.2% to 5.5%.

Ukraine provided foreign trading contracts with partners from 213 countries of the world.

In particular, the highest volumes of export supplies from Ukraine were provided to the Russian Federation – 28.8% from the general export volumes of commodities, Turkey – 5.9%, Italy – 5.2%, Poland – 4.4%, China and Belarus – 2.9% each, India – 2.8%.

Ukraine received most import supplies from the Russian Federation – 37.9%, Germany – 7.9%, China – 7.2%, Belarus – 4.4%, Poland – 3.8%, the USA – 3.3%, Italy – 2.3%.

During 7 months of 2011 export volumes of customer-supplied raw materials totaled 56.8 mln USD, an increase of 2.1 times compared to the volumes in January-July 2010. At the same time, Ukraine imported finished products made from raw materials at the sum of 40.7 mln USD (up 67.3% compared to the corresponding period last year).

Ukraine received foreign raw materials at the sum of 2.2 bln USD (up 50.7% compared to January-July of 2010). The volume of exports of finished products made from import raw materials totaled 3.4 bln USD (up 80.9% compared to January-July 2010).

During seven months of 2011, the credit balance deficit totaled 6.6 bln USD as opposed to 3.2 bln USD in the same period of 2010.

In July 2011, commodity exports from Ukraine grew by 26.4% compared to July 2010 indices, and totaled 5.3 bln USD, the imports grew by 26% and totaled 6.5 bln USD. In July 2011, credit balance deficit totaled 1.14 mln USD (in the reporting month of 2010 – 922 mln USD).
