Ukraine: Crimea to finish the sowing campaign of winter grains till October 25
The Autonomous Republic of Crimea (Ukraine) plans to finish the sowing campaign of winter grains for the crop-2010 till October 25, declared the press-cutting service of the Council of Ministries of the Republic.
According to the announcement, agricultural enterprises of the Crimea have already started the sowing campaign. As of October 1, 2009, agrarians sowed agricultural crops throughout 52.6 thsd ha, including grains – 46.7 thsd ha. Agrarians prepared 93% of land areas for the sowing campaign, or 618.8 thsd ha.
Agricultural economies of the Crimea, purchased all required volumes of phosphoric fertilizers – 6.7 thsd tonnes of reactant, for the sowing campaign application, according to the announcement of the Crimean government.
As a reminder, at the end of August, the Crimean government passed the decree about the growth of the sowing areas of winter crops for the harvest-2010 by 64 thsd ha compared to 2009 – to the level of 664.2 thsd ha.
