Ukraine: Crimea produced 1 mln tonnes of grains
Agrarians of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea (Ukraine) produced the first million tonnes of grains of the harvest-2011, with the average yield of 30 c/ha, informed the press office of the Council of Ministers of the Crimea. Last year in general the Crimea produced 1.2 mln tonnes of grains.
It is planned that at the end of the harvesting campaign the Crimea will harvest 1.9-2 mln tonnes of grains.
According to Vasiliy Dzharty, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Crimea, on August 5-6 the authorities will sum up the harvest-2011.
As of July 11, 2011, agrarians of the Autonomy harvested early grains and oilseeds throughout 336.6 thsd ha (58.7% of the forecast - 573.3 thsd ha), and produced 1.011 mln tonnes of grains, the average yield totaled 30.1 c/ha.
