Ukraine: as of August 1, grain stocks down 21%
As of August 1, 2010, in Ukraine agricultural enterprises (except of small ones) and grain storage and processing enterprises stocked 16.9 mln tonnes of grains (including 10.9 mln tonnes of wheat, 4.2 mln tonnes of barley, 0.5 mln tonnes of maize, 0.5 mln tonnes of rye), down 21% compared to August 1, 2009, informed the State Statistics Service of Ukraine on August 16.
Directly agrarian companies stored 10.9 mln tonnes of grains (down 16%), including 6.8 mln tonnes of wheat, 2.9 mln tonnes of barley, 0.3 mln tonnes of maize, 0.2 mln tonnes of rye.
Grain storage and processing enterprises stored 6 mln tonnes of grain (down 27%), including directly grain storage enterprises – 4.4 mln tonnes (down 26%).
Besides, sunflower seeds storing volumes totaled 0.5 mln tonnes (down 17% compared to August 1, 2009), At the same time, directly agrarian enterprises (except of the small ones) stored 0.2 mln tonnes (down 6%) and storage and processing enterprises – 0.3 mln tonnes of sunflower seeds (up 28% compared to 2009).
