Ukraine: 3-grade wheat prices grew by 51% compared to the previous year
As of October 15, 2010, the average weighted purchasing price for 3-grade wheat in Ukraine totaled 1571 UAH/t, an increase of 51% compared to the price index of the same date of the previous year, and up 6% compared to the previous month indices, informed the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, referring to operative data of levels of average weighted purchasing prices for grains in Ukraine .
According to the announcement, as of the reporting date, the price of 4-grade wheat totaled 1474 UAH/t (up 57% compared to the last year price, and up 5% compared to the previous month indices), 6-grade wheat – 1441 UAH/t (up 71% compared to 2009 indices, and up 8% compared to the previous month results).
At the same time, the minimum and maximum prices of 3-grade wheat totaled 1500 UAH/t and 1700 UAH/t, 4-grade wheat – 1400 UAH/t and 1660 UAH/t, 6-grade – 1200 UAH/t and 1650 UAH/t, respectively.
Besides, as of October 15, 2010, the average weighted purchasing price for rye, group A, in Ukraine totaled 1250 UAH/t, up 68% compared to the previous year index, and up 5% compared to the previous month. The minimum price of the grain totaled 1050 UAH/t, and the maximum price – 1500 UAH/t.
Maize price totaled 1529 UAH/t (up 70% compared to the level of 2009, and up 7% compared to the previous month). At the same time, the minimum and maximum prices totaled 1360 UAH/t and 1710 UAH/t, respectively.
The average weighted purchasing price for 3-grade barley in Ukraine totaled 1556 UAH/t, up 95% compared to the previous year index, and up 13% compared to the previous month. The minimum and maximum prices totaled 1300 UAH/t and 1820 UAH/t, respectively.
As of October 15, 2010, the average weighted purchasing price for sunflower in Ukraine totaled 3810 UAH/t, an increase of 83% compared to the price level of the same date of the previous year (2084 UAH/t), up 7% compared to the previous week results, and up 22% compared to the previous month price level, informed the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.
As of the reporting date, the minimum price for the oilseed totaled 3200 UAH/t, the maximum price – 4100 UAH/t.
Besides, as of October 15, the average soybean price totaled 3132 UAH/t, up 18% compared to the previous year level (in 2009 – 2658 UAH/t), and up 5% compared to September 15, 2010. At the same time, the minimum and maximum prices of soybean totaled 3000 UAH/t and 3250 UAH/t, respectively.
As of the reporting date, the average weighted purchasing price for rapeseed in Ukraine totaled 3655 UAH/t, up 32% compared to the previous year prices. The minimum price totaled 3390 UAH/t, the maximum price – 4000 UAH/t.
