Total wheat harvest exceeds updated forecast by USDA
According to the updated forecasts of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), wheat harvest in Ukraine in the 2009/2010 season has been significantly increased, to 20.5 million tons, UKRINFORM reported, referring to the USDA.
This was stipulated by a rise in the forecast for this season's global wheat harvest to 671.89 million tons.
The USDA harvest forecast has yet to be reviewed, Director General of the Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation Serhiy Stoyanov said.
