Application of mineral fertilizers has been speeded up
In 2016, it is observed a significant increasing in fertilizers application under winter crops. As of 31.03.2016 year, fertilizers were applied on 92% of the acreage under wheat, 94% - under rye, 96% - under barley. These rates are significantly higher than the figures of the last year. Thus, as of 31.03.2015 year, fertilizers were applied only on 86% of the area under wheat, 82% under rye and 83% under barley. Timeliness fertilization increases the potential yield of winter crops. Therefore, if the weather conditions are favorable, gross harvest of winter crops is expected at the level of 22.7 mln t according to the UCAB experts forecast.
