Sunflower sown on 3.8 million hectares
Early grain and leguminous crops were sown in Ukraine on 7.544 million hectares as of June 1, 2009, or 101% of the target.
Corn for grain was sown on 2.298 million hectares (95% of the target), buckwheat on 246,000 hectares (90%), and millet on 105,000 hectares, or 78% of the target.
Sunflower was sown on 3.807 million hectares (108%), while soybeans on 583,000 hectares (103%).
