Russia: Tuapse sea port processed 400 thsd tonnes of grains
During nine months of 2009, OJSC Tuapse sea trading port (Russia) processed 13.8 mln tonnes of cargoes, a decrease of 6% compared to the same index of the previous year, declared the media-department of the port on October 15.
The cargo shipment volumes of the port contained the following items: 10.6 mln tonnes of oil-loading cargoes (down 2.8% compared to the same period of 2008), 3.2 mln tonnes of dry cargoes (down 13%). During nine months, processing volumes of the general cargoes totaled 350 thsd tonnes, grains – 400 thsd tonnes.
Specialists of the port processed 599 vessels (including 293 vessels in oil-loading district of the port, 306 vessels in dry cargo district), and 47.7 thsd rail cars.
Despite the negative factors of the world economy, the company continues realizing own developing program for enlargement of the range of processed cargo varieties. The port plans to launch the shipment complex for grain exports with annual capacities of 2 mln tonnes till the end of 2009.
