Russia harvested nearly 48.5 mln tonnes of grains - Ministry of Agriculture
According to operative data as of August 16, 2011, agrarians of the Russian Federation harvested grains and leguminous crops throughout the areas of over 17.2 mln ha (39% of the sowing areas), and produced nearly 48.5 mln tonnes of grains. The average yield totaled 28.1 c/ha (in 2010 - 21.2 c/ha, in 2009 – 27.2 c/ha), declared press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
The Southern Federal District harvested grains throughout the areas of over 5.7 mln ha (81% of the sowing areas), and produced over 18.7 mln tonnes. The average yield totaled 32.7 c/ha (in 2010 - 30.9 c/ha, in 2009 – 30 c/ha).
The North Caucasian Federal District harvested grains throughout 2.3 mln ha (83% of the sowing areas), and produced 8.6 mln tonnes with the average yield of 37.3 c/ha (in 2010 - 32.4 c/ha, in 2009 – 31 c/ha).
The Central Federal District harvested grains throughout nearly 4.7 mln ha (62%), and produced 11.9 mln tonnes with the yield of 25.6 c/ha (in 2010 - 18.4 c/ha, in 2009 – 31.3 c/ha).
Agrarians of the Volga Federal District harvested grains throughout the areas of over 4.1 mln ha (33% of the areas), produced over 8.4 mln tonnes. The yield totaled 20.5 c/ha (in 2010 - 9.9 c/ha, in 2009 – 18.8 c/ha).
The Siberian Federal District harvested grains and leguminous crops throughout the areas of 219.8 thsd ha (2%), and produced 316.8 thsd tonnes with the yield of 14.4 c/ha (in 2010 - 11.5 c/ha, in 2009 – 18.5 c/ha).
The Far Eastern Federal District harvested grains and leguminous crops throughout 109.7 thsd ha (33% of the areas), and produced 229.4 thsd tonnes. The yield totaled 20.9 c/ha (in 2010 – 10.2 c/ha, in 2009 – 17.1 c/ha).
Agrarians of Russia harvested wheat throughout the general areas of over 10.6 mln ha (41% of the forecast). The production volumes formed the level of nearly 33.6 mln tonnes with the yield of 31.5 c/ha (in 2010 - 23.7 c/ha, in 2009 – 28.8 c/ha).
Agrarians harvested barley throughout over 3.6 mln ha (46% of the forecast), and produced nearly 8.8 mln tonnes of the grain. The average yield totaled 24.2 c/ha (in 2010 - 18.1 c/ha, in 2009 – 25.8 c/ha).
Russia harvested winter and spring rapeseed throughout 173 thsd ha (19% of the sowing areas), produced 300 thsd tonnes of the oilseed with the yield of 17.3 c/ha (in 2010 – 15.9 c/ha, in 2009 – 19.1 c/ha).
