Prysiazhniuk: Ukraine to export 22-23 million tons of grain in 2012/2013 MY
KYIV, July 5 /UKRINFORM/. Ukraine will export 22-23 million tons of grain in the 2012/2013 marketing year, Agricultural Policy and Food Minister Mykola Prysiazhniuk has said.
"We are planning to export 22-23 million tons of grain in the current marketing year if we harvest 47 million tons as we earlier planned," the minister said.
In the previous marketing year, Ukraine exported 23 million tons of grain.
According to the preliminary data of the Ukrainian Agricultural Policy and Food Ministry, the production of grain and leguminous crops this year is expected at 45-47 million tons.
Earlier, Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said that the government is not planning to limit grain exports in the current marketing year.
