Over 37mln tons of grain thrashed by September 15
As of September 15, 2009, according to live data, 37.68 million tons of grain was threshed in Ukraine.
Late grain crops and leguminous cultures to the designated date were gathered on the area of over 13.33 million or 85% of the planned areas for gathering. Average crop capacity of grain crops in Ukraine makes up 28.3 centners/ha.
In particular, for the designated date 192 thousand tons of corn was gathered on the area over 50 thousand ha, 2% оf the plan under the average crop capacity 38.2 centners/ha.
Agrarians also gathered 158 thousand tons of buckwheat from an area of over 166 thousand ha (63% of the forecast), 118 thousand tons of millet from 81 thousand ha (75% of the forecast).
Sunflower gathering continues. By the designated date, 759 thousand tons of seeds have been threshed under average productivity of 12.8 centners/ha. 139 thousand tons of soy was threshed from 94 thousand ha. The crop capacity makes up 14.7 centners/ha.
