Only producers to be entitled to import and export cognac spirits
A new draft law on cognac spirits has been submitted for consideration of the Verkhovnaya Rada. Under the document, any enterprises apart from producers of cognac and fruit spirits will not be allowed to import and export the products. Together with that, producers have to obtain license on wholesale sales by the spirits to carry out international transactions. Earlier, Cabinet of Ministers suggested to form state registers of producers, importers and wholesale traders who deal with cognac spirits and other raw materials for production of alcohol.
