Obligatory labelling of products containing GMOs introduced
The Cabinet of Ministers has obliged Ukrainian producers of food to print the information about GMO (genetically modified organisms) presence and percentage on packaging of their products. The decree is to become effective when published. The cost of research to detect GMO will be calculated by the State Standardization Committee and submitted to the Ministry of Economy for approval.
