Nearly 1.5 m tons of food grain bought for regional reserves
A total of 1.45 million tons of food grain of the 2009 harvest had been bought for Ukraine's regional reserves as of February 12, 2010, which is 109.5% of the recommended three-month minimum supply level.
A total of 2.096 million tons of food grain had been bought for the regional reserves as of the same date in 2009 (136.9% of the recommended three-month minimum supply level).
According to the official website of the Ukrainian Agriculture Ministry, there had been 519,100 tons of grain in the regions as of February 1, 2010 (according to the data of declarations).
The volume of the recommended three-month minimum reserve of food grain is 1.531 million tons.
