Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine increased grain intervention prices in 2010/11 MY
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine issued the decree #429 dd. July 21, 2010, which increased the minimum and maximum intervention prices wheat, rye and barley, and specified the prices for maize and sugar in 2010/11 marketing period, announced the official web-site of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
According to the document, the intervention minimum price for soft wheat, A-group, 1-grade, became increased from the previous level of 1320 UAH/t to 1520 UAH/t, the maximum – from 1584 UAH/t to 1824 UAH/t; 2-grade wheat – from 1235 UAH/t to 1385 UAH/t and from 1482 UAH/t to 1662 UAH/t respectively; 3-grade wheat – from 1150 UAH/t to 1330 AUH/t and from 1320 UAH/t to 1520 UAH/t.
The prices for 4-grade soft wheat of B group also became increased: the minimum price – from 1011 UAH/t to 1161 UAH/t, and the maximum price – from 1213 UAH/t to 1293 UAH/t, respectively.
At the same time, the Ministry increased the minimum intervention prices for 6-grade soft wheat of B group from 960 UAH/t to 1110 UAH/t, and the maximum price – from 1101 UAH/t to 1320 UAH/t.
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy also established the minimum intervention price for maize for baby food products aims in the new marketing year at the level of 1300 UAH/t and the maximum price – 1560 UAH/t; maize (for food concentrates production) – 1200 UAH/t and 1440 UAH/t, respectively, maize (for groats and flour production) – 1150 UAH/t and 1380 UAH/t, maize (for starch and molasses production) – 1110 UAH/t and 1320 UAH/t.
As a reminder, previously, Nikolay Prysiaghniuk, the Minister of Agrarian Policy, declared about plans of the government to increase the maximum and minimum intervention prices for grains, which the Agrarian Fund purchases to own reserves.
