Merchant ports' net profit 2.5 times up
Ukrainian merchant ports increased their net profits 2.5 times during the first ten months of 2009 compared to the like 2008 period, from UAH 670.056 million to UAH 1.684,143,4 billion (1 USD - 7.99 UAH), say the latest reports by the Transport and Communications Ministry of Ukraine.
Revenues of the ports in January - October rose by 51.9% to UAH 8.275,1 billion, outlays by 38% to UAH 6.591 billion, accounts receivable 1.9 times to UAH 606.9 million, and accounts payable 29.7% to UAH 471.96 million. Payments to the national budget grew 2.6 times, from UAH 511.2 million to UAH 1.341 billion. In January - October, Ukrainian merchant ports reduced cargo haulage by 20% on the year, from 112.534 million tons to 89.964 million tons.
