Kazakhstan to sow oilseeds throughout 1.4 mln ha
In 2010, Kazakhstan plans to sow agricultural crops throughout 19.1 mln ha during the spring field works, declared Akhylbek Kurishbaev, the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
According to him, the index exceeds the previous year results by 265 thsd ha.
According to the Minister, the sowing areas will enlarge at the expense of increasing of sowing areas of priority agricultural crops. Grain sowing areas will occupy the areas of 16.7 mln ha, which nearly corresponds to the previous year results.
Agrarians plan to sow oilseeds throughout 1.4 mln ha, up 16% compared to the previous year indices.
