Kazakhstan harvested grains throughout 15.5 mln ha - Ministry of Agriculture
As of October 14, 2011, Kazakhstan harvested grains throughout 95.7% of the harvesting areas (15.5 mln ha), and produced 26.7 mln tonnes of grains with the average yield of 17.3 c/ha (up 8.4 c/ha compared to 2010 results – 8.9 c/ha), declared the press-service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In 2011 the sowing areas of all agricultural crops in Kazakhstan totaled 21.2 mln ha, including grain sowings - 16.2 mln ha (in particular, wheat sowings - 13.8 mln ha).
