In September, Ukraine exported 1.75 mln tonnes of grains
In September, Ukraine exported 1.75 mln tonnes of grains, declared Yuri Melnik, the Minister of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine, on September 23.
According to him, in the month, the Ministry expects that the export rates will vary within average August grain export volumes, when the exports totaled 2.15 mln tonnes.
The Ministry did not change the general export forecast for the year, added Y.Melnik. According to forecasts of experts, in 2009, the export volumes of grains from Ukraine will total 17-18 mln tonnes.
On August 19, Viktor Yushchenko, the President of Ukraine, declared that Ukraine would harvest 50 mln tonnes of grains in the current year, and the exports would total 18-20 mln tonnes.
