Harvested crops reach about 12 million tons - Agricultural Policy and Food Ministry
In Ukraine, as of July 9, 11.85 million tons of grain and leguminous crops were thrashed with the average crop capacity of 26.8 centners/ha. The press service of the Agricultural Policy and Food Ministry of Ukraine told Ukrinform about this.
“In particular, until the designated date, agricultural producers gathered 956,000 tons of winter barley (90% of the plan). The yield makes up 2.57 million tons, crop capacity - 26.9 centners/ha. With the average crop capacity of 28.7 centners/ha on the area of 2.97 million ha (46%), 8.52 million tons of winter wheat was gathered,” the agency informs.
In addition, spring barley was harvested on the acreage of 384,000 ha (17%). Until the designated date, 577,700 tons were thrashed with the average capacity of 15 centners/ha.
Agricultural producers gathered 32,900 tons of rye from 13,700 ha (5%) with the average crop capacity of 24 centners/ha.
Peas thrashed on 97,000 ha (51%). Gross yield makes up 134,300 tons, crop capacity - 13.8 centners/ha. Rape is thrashed on 461,300 ha (48%). Crop capacity is 19.6 centners/ha.
To remind, as of July 9, 2012, 6.97 million tons of grain was gathered on the acreage of 2.57 million ha with the average crop capacity of 19.6 centners/ha.
