Grain transportation by Ukraine's railways 39% up to 13.184 million MT in Jan-Sep
In January-September 2009, Ukrainian railways transported 13.184 million MT of grain, an increase by 3.5 million MT over the planned volume or by 39.1% compared with the same period of last year, the State Railway Administration of Ukraine (Ukrzaliznytsia) has reported.
In particular, the Odesa Railway transported 2.896 million MT of grain crops (15.5% up year-on-year); the Southern Railway, 4.301 million MT (44%); the South-Western Railway, 2.904 million MT (80.3%).
