Grain harvest in Russia to decrease to 100 mln tons
In the following season, grain harvest in Russia will decrease by over 7% – to the level of 100 mln tons, declared Arcadiy, Zlochevskiy, the president of the Russian Grain Union, on May 12.
In the current agricultural year, grain harvest totaled 108.1 mln tons.
Besides, during the current season till July 1, 2009 (the season lasts from July 1, 2008, to July 1, 2009), Russia will export nearly 21 mln tons of grains, informed A.Zlochevskiy. Last year exports totaled 13.6 mln tons, according to him.
