Four companies control 87% of ketchup market in value
According to the company Unilever Ukraine, four companies-producers accounted for 87% of Ukrainian ketchup market by sales in value in 2008.
The company Volyn-Holding (the trademark Torchin, a part of Nestle) became the market leader with share 45.6%. The company Chumak (the brand of the same name) ranked second with the market share 28.9%. Agroekoprodukt (the brand Veres) and Lutsk Foods (the trademark Runa) ranked third and four with market shares 7.9% and 4.6% respectively. The Russian company Baltimor (the brand Baltimor) accounted for 0.8% of the market, Ukraine's Agro-Yug (Pani Kristina) for 0.6%, and Unilever Ukraine (Calve) for 0.4%. Aggregate share of other market players amounted to 11.2%.
