FAO examines Iran's grain production, use

In its latest report on Iran, the Food and Agricultural Organization cited a 5 million tons decrease in grain imports, 3.7 million tons of local wheat production, a stop in the growth of rice consumption, and the production of 95 percent of the meat used in the country in 2009.
 
Fars news agency quoted the FAO of the United Nations World Food Outlook 2009 report publishing statistics on important agricultural production in Iran.
