Export of grain to stand at 20-21mn tons
According to the Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation (UAC), total grain crop will stand at 47mn tons, including 10mn tons of corn in Ukraine in 2009. Thus, the country will be able to export 20-21mn tons of cereals without detriment to domestic market. Export of cereals has already exceeded 6mn tons, including 3.4mn tons of wheat, about 2.2mn tons of barley and 400,000 tons of corn. The country has exported about 400,000 tons of processed grain products, including flour, pollard and others.
Sunflower crop will stand at not less than 6mn tons in the current marketing year under favorable weather conditions.
