Domestic agricultural producers attract credits at UAH 7.3 billion for sowing and harvesting - Agricultural Policy and Food Ministry
Since the beginning of the year, domestic agricultural producers attracted credits at UAH 7.3 billion, which is 1.2 fold up against the previous year. They channeled the borrowed funds, in particular, to the spring sowing campaign and the harvesting campaign. In total, over half a year, almost 2,000 agricultural enterprises used bank crediting.
Agricultural Policy and Food Minister Mykola Prysiazhniuk has said about this, the ministrys press service told Ukrinform.
The government promotes the increase of financing to agricultural producers, including at the expense of bank credits. And currently, agricultural producers continue to actively cooperate with commercial banks in the regions, the official noted.
According to him, the largest number of credits was attracted by agricultural producers of Mykolaiv, Cherkasy, Ternopil and Vinnytsia regions. Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Poltava regions are actively working in this direction.
Agricultural producers recommended themselves as responsible borrowers. Therefore, in case of need, banks make advances to them and prolong credits, attracted over the previous years, Prysiazhniuk summed up.
