The share of agricultural products in total exports still rising
Ukrainian company increased deliveries of sunflower, soybean oil and margarine from abroad.
According to the State Fiscal Service, in January-September 2016 agricultural trade has increased compared to the same period in 2015. Thus, exports increased by 1.9% to almost 10.4 B USD, imports - by 11%, reaching almost 2.8 B USD.
The share of exports of agricultural products in the general structure increased from 36.3% (in January-September 2015) to 40.2% in 2016. The increase of supply is observed only in product group like "oils and fats" - by 21.2%. The base of this growth is the increasing of sales of sunflower oil by 24.2% (+498.3 ths. tons in comparison with January-September 2015). Also Ukraine has greatly increased the supply of soybean oil - + 5.3 ths. tons and margarine - + 3 ths. tons. Exports have reduced in such groups: food products, livestock production and plant production by 8.8%, 8.7 % and 1.4%.
The share of imports of agricultural products in the total imports, has increased from 9.2% to 10.2% in 2016 in all product groups compared with January September 2015. Supplies of fats and oils of animal or vegetable origin from abroad increased the most – by 34% due to increasing purchases of palm oil by 53.2%. Also there is an increase in imports of animal products - by 16%, mainly due to the increasing of frozen fish imports by 47.8%. Imports of finished food products increased by 8% and plant products – by 10%.
