Cattle population down
The population of cattle reduced by 3.3% to 5.258,5 million in 11 months of 2009, the State Statistics Committee of Ukraine reported.
Particularly, the population of cows fell by 5.1% to 2.805,4 million heads as of December 1.
The population of pigs rose by 9% to 7.447,6 million, sheep and goats by 4.6% to 1.875 million, and poultry by 6.5% to 201.3 million.
