Canadian company Viterra comes on Ukrainian agrarian market
On November 16, 2009, Canadian company Viterra provided the reception party at the hotel HYATT, in Kiev (Ukraine), and presented own entering on the agrarian market of Ukraine, declared the media-department of Ukrainian agrarian confederation.
Mayo Schmidt, Viterra president and CEO, presented the company and marked that the enterprise plans to develop agrarian business, grains and oilseed processing, purchase and construct elevators, port terminals in Ukraine, trade with Ukrainian grains on the world market.
Viterra is the largest agrarian company in Canada, occupies nearly half of the grain market of the country, and cooperates with over 90 thsd grain producers.
Recently, the company has purchased the chief world trader of barley – Australian company ABB, and nearly 100 local and 8 port elevators in Australia, owned by the company.
