Bakers will be able to buy cheap flour from the state reserves each month in order to avoid significant increase in the cost of bakery products, Agriculture Minister Mykola Prysiazhniuk has said.
He said that the Agriculture Ministry, along with bakers, had established a mechanism under which the regions will receive 43,000 tons of flour each month in order to reduce the cost of bakery products and compensate for additional costs. The minister also said that the government had foreseen UAH 20 million (UAH 7.92 / USD 1) to compensate for the interest rates on loans for bakers. "The compensation will help neutralize all of the prerequisites for a rise in the price of bread without any administrative influence," Prysiazhniuk said.
