As of July 24, Ukraine produced 18.34 mln tonnes of grains
As of July 24, 2012, agrarians of Ukraine harvested early grains and leguminous plants throughout the areas of 7.91 mln ha, or 80% of the forecast. The produced volumes totaled 18.34 mln tonnes of grains with the average yield of 23.2 c/ha. At the same time, on the same date in 2011 the harvested grain volumes totaled 25.15 mln tonnes with the average yield of 29.2 c/ha, declared the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
In particular, as of the reporting date in 2012 agrarians harvested winter barley throughout the areas of 676.4 thsd ha (99% of the plan), and produced 1.37 mln tonnes of the grain with the average yield at 20.3 c/ha. Agrarians harvested winter wheat throughout 4.62 mln ha (84%), and produced 11.98 mln tonnes with the yield of 25.9 c/ha.
Ukraine already harvested 100.3 thsd tonnes of spring wheat throughout 53.1 thsd ha. The average yield totaled 18.9 c/ha. Agrarians harvested 4.09 mln tonnes of spring barley throughout 2.12 mln ha (81%), with the yield of 19.3 c/ha.
Besides, as of the reporting date agrarians harvested 336 thsd tonnes of rye throughout the areas of 146.8 thsd ha (48%), with the average yield of 22.9 c/ha.
Agrarians harvested 349.3 thsd tonnes of peas throughout the areas of 206.6 thsd ha (96%), with the average yield of 16.9 c/ha.
Agrarians harvested winter rapeseed throughout the areas of 449.3 thsd ha (78% of the forecast), and produced 988.5 thsd tonnes with the average yield of 22 c/ha.
According to updated data from regions, Ukraine has to harvest early grains, leguminous crops and rapeseed throughout 10.3 mln ha (including wheat - 5.86 mln ha, barley - 3.47 mln ha, rye - 303 thsd ha, oats - 310 thsd ha, peas - 247 thsd ha).
