As of Jan-Jun, agrarians shortened cattle sales by 16.3%, down to 102,890 MT
In Jan-Jun 2009 agricultural companies have reduced cattle/poultry sales to 102,890 MT, down 20,001 MT (- 16.3%) against Jan-Jun 2008, reported State Statistics Committee.
As for Jan-Jun 2009 cattle sales structure, companies sold 56.8% total cattle to processors; 3.7% were given to population (incl. public catering system) on account of salaries and 0.3% − to shareholders on account of land plots/property shares rental payment.
11.8% cattle were sold on markets (27.4% - through other trade channels).
As to report, in Jan-Jun 2008 agrarians sold 122,891 MT cattle.
As to Agro Perspective earlier report, in Jan-May 2009 agrarians lowered cattle sales to 83,899 MT, down 20,250 MT (- 19.4%) as of Jan-May 2008.
