As of August 26, Belarus harvested over 7.5 mln tonnes of grains
As of August 26, agricultural organizations of Belarus produced 7.525 mln tonnes of grains, declared the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the country.
The average yield totaled 34.6 c/ha, an increase of 4.9 c/ha compared to the same date last year. All categories of agricultural enterprises (including farms and private households) produced 7.777 mln tonnes of grains.
Generally, agrarians harvested grains and leguminous crops (excluding maize, buckwheat and millet) throughout the areas of 2.176 mln ha (96% of sowing areas).
Recently, agrarians begun harvesting buckwheat and millet. Belarusian agrarians harvested buckwheat throughout 4.8 thsd ha (13.1% of the harvesting areas), millet - 5.1 thsd ha (39.5%). Buckwheat production volumes totaled 7.8 thsd tonnes with the average yield of 16.2 c/ha, millet - 11.8 thsd tonnes, with the yields of 23.3 c/ha.
Agrarians harvested rapeseed throughout 256.3 thsd ha (86.2% of the harvesting areas). The production volumes totaled 418 thsd tonnes with the average yield of 16.3 c/ha. Belarus sowed winter rapeseed throughout 398.9 thsd ha (101.5% of the planned areas).
