Ukraine’s exports went to traditional markets (Egypt, Iran, Syria, Turkey, Bangladesh etc.), and began moving to new countries (Japan, South Korea, Spain, Israel etc.) as well.

The animal production sector was beneficially influenced by significant harvests of grains and pulses in 2008 and 2009 (53.3 and 46 MMT, respectively). As a consequence, the output volume of animal products increased by 4.2% in 2009 that is the highest value since 2006.
