Agrarian workers accumulate resources for spring field campaign - Prysiazhniuk
One of the most important factors, which will influence formation of the yield 2013, is timely and full provision of agricultural producers with the necessary resources.
Agrarian Policy and Food Minister Mykola Prysiazhniuk stressed this at a briefing in Kyiv, the UKRINFORM correspondent reports.
“For today, 410,000 tons of seeds of spring grain crops and leguminous cultures were brought to the sowing condition or 85% of the need. In total, it is planned to prepare 751,000 tons for sowing. In addition, another 9,600 tons of spring culture seeds were prepared at the State Reserve Seed Fund,” the government member said.
According to him, for now, agrarian workers have accumulated almost 179,000 tons of mineral fertilizers, which is 4% up against the previous year. As concerns stocks of fuel and lubrication materials, agrarian workers have already purchased 139,000 tons of diesel fuel and 36,000 tons of gasoline.
The Minister also accentuated on the need of technical re-equipment of small and medium-size farming enterprises. “For us, it is important that an agriculture producer, in particular medium-size and small producers, have possibility to use the high-quality technology,” the Minister stressed.
